We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to develop and
maintain strong relationships with law firms and Chartered Accountant (CA) firms in India. The
candidate will be responsible for fostering partnerships and driving business opportunities in the areas of Foreign Portfolio Investment (FPI) investments, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)
investments, Derivative Clearing and setting up entities within GIFT City. The primary objective is to leverage existing networks and establish new connections to generate leads and facilitate deal flows.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate leads from asset servicing businesses.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to engage law
firms and Chartered Accountant firms, emphasizing FPI, FDI, Derivative Clearing and
GIFT City-related opportunities. - Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within targeted law firms and CA
firms, including partners, decision-makers, and relevant practitioners. - Identify and evaluate potential collaboration opportunities, strategic alliances, and
referral partnerships with legal and financial service providers to enhance deal origination
capabilities. - Act as a trusted advisor and point of contact for legal and financial partners, providing
insights, guidance, and support throughout the deal lifecycle.
Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Sales, Service and Operations, to
ensure seamless execution of client mandates and projects. - Drive awareness and visibility of our services and capabilities within the legal and
financial services community through targeted marketing initiatives, events, and thought
leadership activities. - Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and market dynamics
impacting FPI, FDI, Derivative Clearing, Dovetail’s compliance management solutions
and GIFT City initiatives, and leverage insights to inform business development strategies. - Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches to potential clients
and partners, effectively articulating the value proposition and competitive differentiation
of our services. - Monitor and track business development activities, pipeline progress, and key
performance metrics, providing regular updates and insights to senior management.
Qualifications
CA or MBA from reputed organization
- Proven track record of 5+ years in business development, sales, or relationship
management roles within the legal, financial services, or consulting sectors. - Demonstrated experience in cultivating and nurturing strategic partnerships with law
firms, Chartered Accountant firms, or professional services organizations. - Understanding of FPI, FDI, Derivative Clearing and GIFT City regulations, compliance
requirements, and transactional processes. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build
rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels. - Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of identifying and capitalizing
on emerging market opportunities. - Self-motivated and proactive team player with a passion for driving business growth and
delivering exceptional client experiences. - Willingness to travel as needed to engage with clients and partners.
